“Hotel California” arr. Sungha Jung

I discovered the Korean guitarist, Sungha Jung while looking for solo guitar arrangements on a popular guitar tab website. I was blown away by his technical ability and creativity. His arrangement of “Hotel California” was no exception. He incorporates classical guitar techniques into this classic rock song and the result is amazing.

The arrangement is long and challenging with a gradual build from the rubato intro all the way to the solo at the end of the tune. The challenge for me was to play the notes of the melody while keeping a strong back beat so common in rock music. I hope you enjoy the result here:
